Hey, I'm looking to build a desk for my computer. Currently I'm looking at a 6ft long butcher block that's 1.5 inches thick (pre-finished). I'm going to have steel legs at each corner of the block to stand it up.My question is, how much weight could one of these butcher blocks support? I've been looking around and I can't find anything. My main reason for asking is that I'm going to put a 3 monitor stand mounted to the desk in the center. With all 3 monitors mounted, that'll be about 60-70 lbs directly in the center/edge of the butcher block. Should I put a 5th leg in the center along the edge (right next to the monitor stand) to help support it, or will I be fine with just the 4 legs at each corner? Thanks for the help!Edit: I'm looking to get the butcher block from Home Depot if that means anything via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ZMIog3
