I really like the Neiden bed frame I saw at ikea. The frame itself is only $49 and is made of Russian Pinewood. But the slats to put under the mattress cost $50, more than the bed frame. What are some low cost options for slats? I was thinking of maybe buying plywood and putting a mattress on it.
