Hello r/financialplanning.
I don't know anything about investing, nor do I really want to let myself invest too much time into doing so since it seems that it can be similar to gambling, a vice that I have and can fall into if not careful. Right now I'm putting into my 401K, and other than that my only savings are a regular savings account with a large bank that has such a low interest rate I may as well keep money under my mattress. I currently put around 400 dollars a month into said savings account, but want to put in at least a couple hundred more.
I've heard of apps like Acorn that invest your money safely with minimal input required, but after doing an admittedly small amount of research, people seem to suggest avoiding it. My question to you lot is this: What is the best app to use for someone like me that wants to save money and let it grow over time, but wants the least amount of input possible to do it? Telling me that this isn't a place or system for someone like me who is purposefully avoiding the right research is of course also an acceptable answer, just wanted to ask those who know more than myself. Thank you!
