WE BOUGHT A CONDO! WITH 20% DOWN AND A BACKYARD IN A MAJOR CITY!
My husband got a master's degree and I dropped out of school after evaluating the median income of my degree, but we still managed to do it. Working my way through a company give me 96% of the median income I would have expected to get upon graduation from my degree in a similar time period.
We got a nicer place because of the dual income, but what makes me extra proud is MY CONTRIBUTION TO OUR DOWN PAYMENT WOULD HAVE BOUGHT MY PARENTS HOUSE. I BROKE THE POOR PERSON CYCLE, CUT DOWN ON SPENDING FOR 6 YEARS, AND STILL SAVED MY PARENTS ENTIRE MORTGAGE.
