How did this happen and what is going on? I had a life insurance policy that was outdated and a 401k that was idle and was setup with this guy. Doesn’t seem illegal in any sense but how do I have a free financial advisor? Is this something Principal offers? To get this started I was given $5k from shares that were sold that I didn’t even know existed. Apparently Principal sold out and I was paid for shares then at the same time I found my 401k was idle so I looked for a solution. Next thing I know Principal has me talking with this guy who is now in control of my basically free money. I never put anything into the 401 or had shares that I knew of. All of the money is free and so is the advisor. Is this an Ozarks situation? Just got into this show and started thinking about how I got free money that may disappear.
