Hello all! I'm in the process of doing a couple custom computer builds, complete with painted cases etched acrylic inside AND the acrylic window. Though, when I try to research how to blast acrylic, I find plenty of links giving advice on how to, but none of them seem to really specify which media would be best for it. Got a restoration shop with a blast cabinet that the side panel with the acrylic will easily fit into, and I believe we currently have a soda media. With seeing how many different medias there are, and different grits and how fine or course they get, I have absolutely no clue what would be best.I tried looking for a sandblasting subreddit, but didn't see any with many people or that seemed really active, whereas r/DIY here has a lot of members, is consistently active, and I'm sure has at least a few people who have tried this already and can give advice, tips, and tricks. My goal is to etch on a dragon to give an texture frosted look. I know I can get frost spray paint, but I love the texture look that blasting gives, and it'll make it glow better with the light behind it I think.Thank you for any advice or tips! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2ArHvQN
