Doing some household cleaning today, I came across two pairs of Bass penny loafers that used to be go-to work shoes for me. Each pair was worn down heavily in the sole to the point where I just started to wear them as garden shoes/slippers around the garage, etc.
Long story short, they are both unusable for any purpose since they each have holes through the sole all the way through the insoles. If you hold them up now you can see straight through them to the floor.
I was going to throw them out, but does anyone now if a new sole and insole is possible for these? The leather uppers are very good on them as they are the older US made versions.
If at all possible It would be great to be able to save them in some way rather than send them to the landfill.
