Hello!

Not 100% if this is the best place for me to ask this. If anyone has recommendations for me to post elsewhere to get more answers, please share!

I'm trying to look for the best/cheapest way to get somewhat large quantities of raw nuts. Both out of the shell and in shell.

Currently I order from anuts. They have been amazing, and so far I'm having trouble finding anyone that beats their prices (even with their shipping included). I've ordered hundreds of pounds of nuts from them and have never gotten a single bad nut. I will also get the 2/3lb bags from Sams Club for shelled walnuts, almonds, and pecans.

From anuts:

Quantity(lbs) Nut In Shell? Price(Per Pound) Price(with shipping Total(with shipping)
25 English Walnut Yes $2.55 $3.43 $85.65
15 Cali Almond Yes $2.89 $4.15 $62.13
10 Brazil Yes $3.53 $5.12 $51.19
5 Pecan Yes $3.88 $5.78 $28.9
5 Filbert Yes $2.83 $4.73 $23.65
3 Pine Nut No $17.35 $19.70 $59.12
5 Almond No(Sliver) $5.97 $7.87 $39.35
3 Brazil No $7.30 $10.32 $30.97
5 Cashew No $6.23 $7.93 $39.65
3 Macadamia No (Halves) $13.37 $15.73 $47.18

I order them all at once, so it saves on shipping and ends up being $437.90 instead of $467.79 for all listed above. The total at the end is assuming I am just ordering that one nut in that single order.

Sams Club:

3lbs Shelled Whole Almonds: $3.97/lb(60c savings vs anuts + shipping)

2lbs Pecan Halves: $6.48/lb ($2.42 savings vs anuts +shipping)

3lbs Shelled Walnuts: $4.14/lb (30c savings vs anuts +shipping)

I've been suggested to reach out locally, but I live in a tiny town in West Virginia and it's hours drive to get anywhere. I haven't been able to find anyone near me that will sell in bulk at all, let alone beat the price I'm currently paying.

I'm overpaying on anuts with Slivered Almonds, as all the nuts are used for parrots, and slivered almonds are amazing to break into smaller pieces. If anyone can direct me for a cheaper price on those, or an easy way to sliver hundreds of almonds myself that would be very appreciated. I am terrible with knives and never fail to cut my fingers chopping up the easiest of veggies lol. I would also value cashew pieces/halves over whole as they would be easier for the same reason.

If anyone could lend some help that would be amazing! Thanks in advance and for reading this long post about nut price breakdown :)
