A few months ago I went to an acupuncturist that is In-Network of my insurance. I have a $30 co-pay which I paid for. I went for a total of 3 visits. The first visit was covered while the other two visits were denied by my insurance according to the UHC app and as well as the doctor.

The doctor ended up emailing me that my insurance didn’t cover and sent me a bill for the visits. The acupuncturist recommended I go twice a week but I didn’t because I thought it was ridiculous.

Should I talk to anyone before paying the bill? If I had known that my insurance was going to deny the visits I would have never gone. I only went because it was In-Network.
