My wife and I are becoming more time poor and are exploring a robotic vacuum cleaner. This would alleviate stress of dirty floors and give us more time focussing on other house tasks. There is something in me that thinks robotic vacuums with all their tiny moving parts, electronic circuit boards are simply too fragile to last any reasonable amount of time. I could see replacing one every 4-5 years be a reality, vs the current vacuum (which will probably outlast us). Does anyone here have any thoughts on using a robotic vacuum? They just don't seem very frugal to me for the long term.
