A friend and I recently began stripping an 80-year-old coffee table. Problem is, we can't seem to remove the stain from inside the intricate carvings. We're using a gel thinner, along with steel wool and those little nylon toothbrushes. Unfortunately, nothing seems to work. Should we switch to a different method or even a stronger thinner?
