Just wanted to share an oddity I noticed about the 2020 pay periods for those on a W2 schedule. Unlike other years, in the year 2020 there are 27 biweekly pay periods and 53 weekly pay periods due to it being a leap year.
What this means is if you're biweekly you'll have 3 months where you received 3 paychecks, as opposed to only 2 months, and if you're on a weekly pay schedule you'll receive an extra week within the year.
Make of this information as you will, but it's a fun fact I just realized when doing some financial calculations.
