So I currently drive a car that requires premium fuel and gets around 20 mpg. The current cost of that fuel is 3.29 a gallon. I am looking to buy a 2007 mazda 3 for 700$ and it gets 25 miles per gallon and the fuel costs for is are 2.49$ a gallon in this area. I currently drive 15,000 miles a year. Do any of you frugal people have any math skills to be able to see if it is worth getting a slighly nicer car that has a bit better fuel efficiency or is the 700$ better spent jist paying for my fuel?
