Hi, in a relatively new house, I have 2 AFCIs that seem to trip often. One is for a dishwasher ckt, and the other, for a clothes washer. I don't think there is anything else on that ckt. After the clothes washer runs (completes the cycle), the breaker will almost always trip. And along with it, the dishwasher AFCI will also trip. Resetting it will "fix" the problem till the next time. Very confused. This started recently (after a couple of years of it working just fine). The washer and dishwasher are a couple of years of old. Is it just a bad AFCI? If so, I can swap it out. What else should I be looking for? There were a couple of switches on a different ckt that were swapped out a few months ago (regular light switches replaced with smart ones), but if there was a problem with neutral hitting the ground there, I would expect that AFCI to trip (too) - but that is not happening, and those switches are just fine.Any suggestions? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/30gOd5n
