We bought a Legrande Adorne sofTap dimmer switch and can't get it to work AND have the other outlets get power. The old switch we took off was not a dimmer. The old switch had three black wires connected to it. The light box has 3 white wires, all bundled and pigtailed together (guessing they are neutral?). It also has 3 black wires and a ground. There was no neutral or ground connected to the old light switch. We know which is hot and can get the light switch working, but then all three bathroom outlets plus 1/2 our bedroom loses outlet power. Right now we have the hot wire in hot, and we have tried both the two remaining black wires interchangeably in the Neutral and 1 Pole slots in the new Adorne switch, and the light/dimmer works both ways.We also tried to connect a white wire from the bundle to neutral, and connect both "not hot" black wires to the 1 Pole slot, but we got nothing that way, everything was dead. I don't know which of the three white neutrals at the back I should be using though, or if it matters. I used the one beside the hot wire?I'm at a loss. House us fairly new (2005). Trying to avoid hiring a $300 electrician just for an outlet... via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/35nK4gM
