So we are in the middle of a bathroom remodel and all of the houses outside walls are insulated using tile blocks. In the bathroom one of these walls is going to be part of a tub shower surround. I had planned on tiling the shower surround but i cant put cement board on the wall because I cant screw into the tile. So i was going to paint it with a waterproof membrane and then tileing directly onto the plaster thats over the tile, but the wall is so uneven that the subway tile is going to look bad. Any advice to attach the cement board to the wall or is it just best to go with a premade tub surround on this case. Thanks. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Z1L9JD
