The hole in the bathroom was caused by a poorly installed towel rack that was accidently pulled from the wall. I am concerned that just patching the hole will not be an adequate to prevent the same thing from happening again. My plan is to remove a 16"x3" patch of drywall around the hole so that I can install a crossbar between two of the studs. I will then patch the hole with another piece of drywall and mud the seams. Then reinstall the towel rack. My question is: do I need to use Moisture Resistant Drywall for a patch of this size, or can I use regular drywall? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2Q5beo3
