The capital loss deduction has been $3000 for decades - before I was even born and I'm not that young. I would think it would rise with inflation but it has not. Why has there been no movement to increase capital loss deduction? Especially with the /r/wallstreetbets you would think there would be an army of Americans petitioning for such a thing..
