Hi there, we've got a lamp over our table that has a chain currently to support it. It's not a heavy fixture, and I'm wondering if I can remove the chain, and just use a heavy duty braided cord instead? (chains remind me of my grandma :) One issue is that the chain currently hangs on a couple hooks across the ceiling, so I'm not sure how to get the cord to stay in place without a chain. Any tips?
