Hey all,

So recently about a month ago I had someone open a Sprint account under my name and began phone service. Since then I followed all the steps ie. file a police report, inform Sprint, file a compaint with the FTC, placed a fraud alert, and froze all my credit with the 3 bureaus (Experian, Transunion, and Equifax).

Just recently I get a phone bill with At&t for phone service again in the same state (might be the same person but who knows). I called At&t fraud service and had them check. They told me that a credit freeze was never put in place, which is odd because I called Experian and the freeze was set in mid October and the At&t account was opened at the end of October. What's also the kicker is that they did acknowledge an alert was put through on my Experian credit file but I never received any confirmation. So basically the person on the line apologized and said even with an alert this account should have never been opened and promptly closed the bill and account down.

Has anyone ever dealt with something like this? Should I do anything else? Now I'm afraid that all my freezes arent actually being reported and more incidents like this will happen in the future. Thanks!
