I am long on the mobile payments industry. I have some positions in the IPAY ETF and Square, Inc. (SQ). Around this time last year Square was itching close to $100 a share. I noticed every restaurant, every food truck, small retail shops, and flea market vendors all use Square to receive payment. Then Square enters the mobile food delivery service, which failed, and I read an article that there may be commission free stock trading coming to the CashApp application, that Square owns. After a failed attempt at the food delivery service, Caviar, is Square in a good position to begin this new strategy with CashApp? Has Square’s main source of revenue, the payment terminal, reached its peak and we will no longer see growth in Square? What are your thoughts and are you long or short on Square?
