My better half and I had to find a place to live for two weeks in between leases. Her parents offered us a few days at a long term hotel bought with points. Towards the end of that stay GF talked with the front desk to determine how much it would cost to stay for the remaining week and a half. They told her $381. She says she even repeated that number back to the person.
FFW to today, our last night in the hotel: GF notices several large charges on her account. She talks with the front desk and they inform her that some of them are the standard holds, but also they've taken $928 dollars out of her account to cover part of the $1,381 bill.
We're both totally lost. Although we can cover that cost, we never would have agreed to that price. How screwed are we? Is there anything to be done about this?
