With today off from school (I am a HS Teacher) my family of 4 had 3 days together. looking on Facebook, my peers went to water parks, concerts, museums, etc. My family went for 1 Hike yesterday and spent the rest of the time hanging out in our home, cleaning, playing in the backyard, etc. The most important detail, we spent 0 dollars total!!!! Yes, maybe used a bit of gas and food, but bought nothing all weekend and for us that's a MAJOR win. The allure of buying is SO tempting for me, I sometimes feel it is an addiction, so I'm counting this weekend as a win, even though it doesn't make a good FB post or flashy memory.
