Try #2: my previous post was deleted and I was told to “say what I had previously done that justifies the post remaining to be answered,” I have spent 30minutes looking online for this information and have come up empty. I have no ‘owners manuals’ to reference since I have never done anything like this, and just was hoping for some simple advice. Nothing I can find discusses threading increasing or decreasing pipe size.I am planning on fitting up a new closet and using galvanized pipe for the clothes racks. I have done all the measurements and am going to go to Home Depot or Lowe’s to have them cut, but I realized that when the pipes are threaded they may come up short. If I need, for instance, a pipe twelve inches long from wall to connecting pipe, how long would I ask for it to be cut? Thanks for your help! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2KgWpe3
