https://ift.tt/2XNwUus friend let me pick out a couple laser mis-cuts from a pile at his house. Thought this lotus flower would look really cool with this other Yin Yang piece in the middle and he let me take both!Got home and noticed the lotus has 12 petals! And also I really need a clock in my room. 2 birds one stone right here, so I thought I would inquire in this sub if anybody might have some insight on a sleek, minimal clock mechanism that would go well with this piece. The Yin Yang is 14 inches in diameter and I'd want to stay within the Yin Yang portion of the piece.I'm pretty handy and have tools to drill/mount, I'm just looking for the right resources. I don't really wanna buy some whatever clock kit off Amazon or Walmart, if anything I'd love to support something more custom and even possibly a clock kit with either wooden hands, sleek metal hands, or even glow in the dark or LED hands. Something on the artsy or organic side.I googled "clock kit" but I'm not even sure if that's what it's called. I'm just looking for the mechanism that has the little motor that turns the hands as well as the hands themselves.Any help or even other creative ideas to go along with this (minus altering it or painting it) would be well received by me. The company likes to keep unnatural substances off of the wood so I wouldn't want to tarnish that. Thank you in advance! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2XV1Zrk
