My four year old gets quarters for doing things around the house. He also selected some unused toys to sell at a garage sale. He’s saved $28.60 in the last few months because he wants a Catboy costume from the show PJ Masks. I just taught him about long term saving. We put $2.85 of it into a piggy bank and agreed the money in it isn’t for spending.
I so wish my parents had done that for me. I’m proud of him. He caught on immediately.
