I have a question and I'm unsure where to post it. I am going to do some landscaping renos next month and one of the things I'm doing is to remove old cracked concrete slabs in my backyard to make room for more lawn.I am expecting all sorts of nightmarish stuff coming from under a slab that has been there for at least 30 years. My question, then, is - has anyone done anything like this before? What equipment should I have in hands? What kind of thing should I be expecting to remove from under the slabs? The slabs are about 5' x 5' (there used to be a shed on top of them that the previous owner removed before they sold me the house) and a few inches thick. They are badly cracked and can probably be easily removed, I am more concerned with *what lies beneath* and how to make it, well, a lawn again.Any help appreciated. I googled it, but found mostly howtos about removing the slabs, and that's not my problem - I am concerned about what is underneath, and want to know if any of you have done that and what have you found.I am expecting a 30 year old ant colony, tree roots, dead animals and whatnot. I have little experience with backyards and I am looking for advice.Thank you! via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2J6PPGx
