I’m building a shed that needs to follow NC code (longer than 12' on one side). I put 7/16” for roof sheathing because that’s what’s typical, only then thought to double check the NC code book. It says minimum net thickness of 5/8” (2x6 rafters, 24" OC, 12' span). My question is, can I layer more sheathing on top of the 7/16” to get >= 5/8”, or do I need to take off the 7/16” entirely and replace it with stock 5/8”? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2IKR9ja
