So I just moved into this place. I'm really just renting a room in this house. The family here has agreed to let me fix their in-ground hot tub and they will pay for materials. I didn't get any before pictures, but the tub hasn't been used for at least 5 years because it didn't hold water. They said they would fill it up and the next day the level went down a few inches. Woha, I was expecting a pretty big hole. After draining the black discusting water from it, and cleaning it throughly with mold cleaner these pictures are the result. There were lizards and a dead bird in the water so you can imagine how bad it was. Some of the pictures show the tub before the fiberglass repairs. I have chipped and drilled the holes to make the fiberglass stick better and to keep the cracks from getting bigger. There are a few cracks in the bottom that are still wet so I'm giving them a week to dry out. So far I'm happy with the repairs. The motor and blower for the bubbles still work. Will keep you posted on the results. So far this has been 1 weekend of work. Total cost at this point: ~$85.https://ift.tt/2FIR7Xt I dont know how to make the images pop up but this is the link to them. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2YjC6T7
