I'm moving to a raised ranch with a finished basement and I'm currently thinking through the best way of threading cable from the first floor into the basement. The current owner seemed to have their modem/router set up in a bedroom (middle of the house) which makes sense, but that seemed to be the only place there was a coaxial cable connection.My plan is to use a splitter and somehow thread another cable to the basement for the TV box. Any advice for either going up through the attic and dropping down to the basement? Or should I drill through hardwood floors and a plaster ceiling in the basement?I'm pretty sure there is insulation behind the walls on the first floor, would that make it hard to drop cable down from the attic?Any other ways i'm not thinking of? via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2HpboB5
