I have a very simple ETF portfolio of 3 funds. Every now and again, I contribute additional savings to it, or I want to check up on it and see how it's going. To that end, I made a spreadsheet to calculate for me how many shares I should buy and sell, and I'd like to share it.
Find it here and download a copy: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/13vkwuEN0uPUEmQCp5b0RvcXyPwJmxib3gXv8hw3Avwk/edit?usp=sharing
At the top of the sheet are 2 sections, current portfolio and target portfolio, fill in the orange boxes. I've already prefilled it with an example.
At the bottom of the form, there's a section that tells you what you need to do to reach your target portfolio. Probably the only thing that's not self-explanatory is the "tolerance" square. What the tolerance is for is if you're within say 5% of your target asset allocation on a particular asset, it's probably not worth rebalancing, so the spreadsheet will tell you to do nothing. You can set what the percentage is.
Feedback is appreciated.
