Looking for some feedback here. Unable to refinish existing flooring and we keep getting splinters in our feet, so it's time to install new hardwood flooring. I currently do not have quarterround or shoemoulding down, but figured I'd throw some in while I'm at it. Which do you prefer?The existing wood baseboards are very hard to stain match as there is significant color variation from room to room. Anyone living in a 150+ year old house will appreciate this. I want to keep the original wood intact and will not be painting any trim. That being said, for simplicity I'm thinking to match QR/SM to the flooring, but I'm not sure I'll like the look.
