I've been through the home buying process but know nothing about flood zones, we found a house in a very hot market, perfect location and neighborhood, great house great lot only catch is it's zoned Flood Zone AE and requires you to carry flood insurance.
Is this just a deal breaker outright or do people buy in flood zones all the time you just have to be aware of the risk?
