My parents are cutting ties with me after I graduate. I have nine days until graduation. I will be completely on my own with no previous guidance or understanding of budgeting or paying bills.

I have a car that I make payments of $100 on every two weeks and I only owe $400. I make $11 an hour and my checks come every two weeks. They’re usually a little over $500. My job and college will be 40 minutes from my apartment. I have three room mates which will bring my rent to $290 a month. Being a young male college kid, the quotes for insurance are substantial to say the least. We’ll call it $230 a month. How can I afford gas, utilities, food, clothes, etc while also attending college (something else I’ll have to pay for)? I’ll be attending college for free for my first two years thanks to a little government financial aid and mostly music/academic scholarships.
