Hi everyone, first time posting here! (TL;DR below)

I am soon moving to Colorado because DH's job and in need of some guidance. I've been working as content creator for small businesses and I though I love what I do, it can take a toll on you to constantly create disposable content for businesses regularly. Now, with this move, I will be losing my work since I work with local clients but I am ok with that. I feel like I'd like to work part time somewhere for a while, a job that may not require me to "take work home", and take it slow for a while.

I am facing some resistance from family members and friends saying that I'd be throwing away my freelance career and my experience by getting a job in retail or something similar. The thought of having to start anew and find new clients just feels complicated and I want to simplify what I do for a living and free space up for hobbies or learn new things. I've always worked 60hr weeks and now I will have the chance to explore somewhere new, I sort of want to keep my job low stress so I can enjoy my free time. Is this something anyone has faced? How did it work out for you?

TL;DR: Moving to a new state and debating if I should keep my high stress freelance career or take on a slower part time job, to simplify my life and take it slower.
