My partner recently got a cash gift from her parent - several 10ks. She is absolutely clueless when it comes to finance and I am somewhat better (I studied finance and have been investing - mostly in an asset class, that is prohibited to mention on this subreddit). In any case, I told her to stay away from local retail bank advisors, who mostly dont have a clue either and simply want to get the commission from their generic retail portfolio. My initial idea is to open a broker account in her name and do a risk-adjusged investment pyramid with around 50% in very safe investments (3% ROE/yr - e.g. corporate bonds), 35% in moderately safe investments (5%-10%/yr - e.g. world or emerging economies tracker funds) and 15% in high risk investments (20%+ ROE/yr - various). But of course I am open to alternative ideas.

I would be grateful for any advice, either in terms of actual good funds, brokers, etc as well as the general structure of the portfolio. We are based in the eurozone and prefer liquid assets. We are both millenials so our investment horizon is wide open.

Mucho apreciado!
