picturesThe front entrance steps need to be fixed. The stone steps / bricks are all loose, as the glue is no longer adhesive, and it's a danger when stepping on them. In addition, the steps have sunk into the ground and are no longer level. I'm looking to understand the best process to repair these myself, as the quotes I've got to fix these steps (with new stone) is ~$1,500 - $2,000 CAD.Based on my understanding, the process would be:remove all stonesuse chisel to remove all pre-existing glue from stonesuse wire brush to clear stones of all debrisapply gravel or high-performance bedding (HPB) to raise the foundation and ensure that it is level (slightly sloping away from house)re-apply stones in same order, continuously ensuring its level, while using new construction adhesive / sealant / mortarFew questions:Is this process correct? What base should I use? gravel + sand? HPB? other? What glue / adhesive should I use?Any ideas to fix the cracking on the cement steps above?Other suggestions or tips? Thanks for the help. via /r/DIY http://bit.ly/2YPyWq7
