Okay i’m 17 years old male, i have a job working minimum wage at $8.50/hr. I have about $800 saved up in the bank right now which I am insanely good at NOT spending. I get paid biweekly about 300 average. I want to be able to have a car by the time next school year begins, which is about 4 months from now. I need to buy a car myself AND pay the insurance every month ( or majority ). So I plan on getting a 1500-1800 dollar car or so. And then paying majority of my monthly insurance after that. How much should I have in my bank account saved until I spend the money for this car? Obviously don’t wanna be bankrupt after I spend the money. How much should I have saved up beforehand?
