I'm 25, and my grandmother is in her seventies.

Financial burdens caused by lingering debts on her part, and issues with my Alzheimer's patient grandfather's nursing care have forced us to lose our home.

while I don't have the numbers, yet, she is saying she won't even be able to afford the cheapest apartments out here (just over 1k a month) even with me pitching in what I can (not much unfortunately, I make About 400 surplus a month after taxes and bills and job hunting hasn't been terribly fruitful.)

I've tried looking through 211 and trying o find help there but so far it's all seemed a bit out of our grasp.

does anyone have any advice? I want to do whatever I can to prevent my grandmother from spending any time homeless in her retirement years.

funding or financial assistance, job ideas for a beginners programmer/computer hardware specialist/power user type that could ease the burden, anything.

thank you.
