As I mentioned in previous posts, I faxed the evidence I found and my police report to Chase Customer Claim Department on 4/12. Before that, I filed complain letters to CFPB, BBB, and OCC on 4/10. I also made several phone calls to Chase but they just keeps telling me the same thing: they can't refund my money since their investigation denied this is fraud.
To be honest, I was not confident that I can get my money back based on their firm attitude. I only know I can't give up and have to fight for myself. Surprisingly, today 4/17, I was notified by Chase Executive Office that they have received my complain letters and also reviewed the documents I filed to them. After second investigation, they agreed those transactions were incorrect and approved my claims. I finally got my $8000 back!
I'm not sure the key reason they denied my claim first time but approved the second time. Maybe my new evidence works? Maybe because I complained to CFPB, BBB and OCC? Anyway, they wouldn't share any details of research and their logic of making decisions.
I want to thank everyone for your good advices again. I don't think I can get this resolved without all your help!
