As our community continues to grow past the 1 million subscribers mark, we, your humble moderators, decided it was time to give the subreddit a visual makeover.
What's changed?
- New Snoo courtesy of u/password-hunter2.
- New banner courtesy of me, u/nonbinary_as_fuck.
- Visual aesthetic updated to match the new banner.
- Organizational improvements: searchbox for post categories, flair color coding, etc.
- New post flairs: Local/Sample Sale and YMMV.
- Planned: new recurring discussion threads (outfit/budget challenges, etc.).
How to use the new post flair
- Local/Sample Sale is for -- you guessed it -- sample sales, warehouse sales, and other local, in-person events.
- YMMV ("Your Mileage May Vary") is for deals that are limited to particular physical stores, and/or deals with very limited stock -- e.g, returned items or factory seconds.
YMMV posts must include the store location or other pertinent info in the title, or they will be removed.

We understand that not everyone will like these updates. Please leave us your feedback first, and then you can easily opt out of the changes.
- If you're using the Reddit Redesign, click Community Options in the top box in the sidebar and switch the Community theme setting to OFF. This will use the default style for the sub.
- If you're using Old Reddit, use these instructions to disable styles.
- You can also use a browser extension like Reddit Enhancement Suite (RES) to tweak your visual experience.
