Hello. I would like to pay less for my phone plan. I am currently on contract with AT&T. I have been reading about some people paying dramatically less than the $190 that I am paying for my wife and I for each of our phones and plan.
My first question is about paying off our current phones. We are under contract and part of our bill is to pay for the phones. Can we just pay a lump sum to att and simply reduce our monthly bill by the amount we were paying toward the phone? This would easily drop our bill by $60 per month. Plus we both use WiFi and don’t need as much data, so I am already going to try and reduce that in our plan as well.
If we can buy the phones outright, can we then switch to a cheaper service? I would be fine paying a fee to terminate our Att contract if we could save money by switching to a cheaper provider.
Finally, what other companies use the at&t network and are reliable? I need to be on AT&ts network because the others don’t have reliable or consistent coverage where I live. I don’t really care if internet slows down a bit as long as I can still have reliable call and text coverage.
