I'm a small-scale veggie farmer in Central Maine, and use a room I built in the attic of my garage for spring seedstarting and pea shoot production. Cuts way down on the stress of freezing night temps in the greenhouse. Running a slew T5-fixtures for this, I'm actively cooling the room down to 75-degrees using an LG 23,000 BTU a/c unit.Got me thinking: would it be problematic for the a/c unit if I were to capture/redirect this heat into the lower part of my garage using about a 6' length of flexible ducting to "passively" heat my garage during the cold time of year?If so, what's the minimum size duct I should consider safe for reducing the outflow to (in other words, reducing from the rectangular box of the a/c unit down to ___-inch circular ducting)? Or what are other options to consider? Thanks in advance. via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2OC4vje
