So i'm kind of nervous about spending money. I'm starting to make more money and saving money but the problem i have is that i want to keep all my money which is a good thing but I've been looking into buying a new laptop because i was going to start going back to school and i really want to practice my coding skills and use it for school. I already have a laptop i bought about 4 years ago it was on the cheap side of 200 bucks but it helped me through school the problem its very basic and can barley handle small programs. Now im looking at some that are about 500 or and i can afford it now and it does everything i want its a real good deal. But since i have such a mentality of saving and not touching my money its hard for me to spend any money on something like that. I guess i have a fear that its inhibiting me from making a purchase like that. i want to hear your guys thoughts and if you guys have the same problem?
Edit: Thanks guys for your input and to answer some questions this isn't going hurt me where I'm going to be on ends meat i can make up the 500 dollars pretty fast. Some friends say i should get the new air mac but i don't really need all that and plus im more of a PC person myself and plus this laptop im looking at comes with 1 TB hard drive and you can upgrade and add ram and a SSD but it already got all the stuff i need. But like i said i just have a fear of using my money on something i view as a luxury buy but school, bills and food i view that as a investment so i don't have a problem with that i have people say i should get a new car and do payments i drive 30 year old truck and it works not great but it works i guess i have fear of losing it all and living by candle light again.
