A friend of mine got a $50 check for babysitting. When she deposited it the ATM took it as $5000. She immediately informed the bank and the person who wrote the check. The error has been corrected on their account but hers still has $4950 extra a week later. How long should she wait before doing something? Is there any amount of time that would be ok to spend/withdraw the money?
