I've been struggling with excessive phone/computer use a lot. I browse reddit, 4chan, and youtube which doesn't give me any satisfaction at all. At the end of the day, I feel like my time has been wasted since I spend a lot of the day browsing the net.

When I look back at the best moments in my life, they're all spent doing things with people instead of being by myself playing video games or browsing the net. I'm still young and don't want to feel like my life gets wasted away.

I've found that a good way to spend your days is to seize the day. Get outside and do something. It helps fend off anxiety and depression when you're out actively engaging in things. Seriously, being sedentary is NOT GOOD for you physically or mentally.

My point of all of this is to find an outdoor hobby of some sort. I've recently gotten into longboarding which has gotten me out for the past 2 days. I've been longboarding for hours on end and my days feel so much more fulfilled. Find some outdoor hobby like fishing, cycling, hiking, etc. Go out and experience the world.

This fits into simpleliving because I think simpleliving isn't just about minimalism or living a life without chasing material goods and intangible reward. Simpleliving also entails doing things that help you experience the world and feel fulfilled. You can live a simple life without feeling fulfilled. I've found that outdoor hobbies such as skateboarding, hiking, cycling, fishing, etc. are a great way to boost my mood and feel like I'm really living.
