I made a mistake while staining my deck, and now I need some help. I did not plan ahead and forgot to tape off the aluminum bars that are under the railings of my deck. I then noticed my mistake, but was arrogant enough to think that a bit of paint thinner would get it off when I was done (I have since learned that I do not know how paint thinner works). Obviously I was mistaken, and now I have deck stain on the ends of the aluminum bars with no idea how to get it off. At the recommendation of a guy at Home Depot, I tried "Krud Kutter" on it, which was not effective. I also tried Magic Eraser, which also did not work. Scratching with a razer blade will get it off, but I run the risk of scratching the aluminum and it is also super slow. Anyone have any tips to help me fix my mistake?
