I had a piece of cheesecloth for years with no use for it. Finally a few days ago I made an iced coffee recipe and realized once I was done that I had no idea if cheesecloth was meant to be thrown away after use, and if so, if it was one of those things that people throw unnecessarily. I would like to continue using it just for coffee, but is it a bad idea bacteria-wise? It seems like I will need a heck of a lot of water to rinse the big piece completely clean of coffee grounds. I currently have it line drying but there’s a lot of coffee still stuck. I was so excited to use it that I didn’t bother measuring what I really needed, I just folded it to make six layers and went for it. I really thought it was more durable and realized my mistake once I was done that one wrong pull and it’s going to rip
