I live in a condo in Florida with the bedrooms on the second floor. As you can imagine, it stays fairly warm during the summer nights. I'm thinking about buying a portable ac unit to run during the night while we sleep in 1 bedroom and turning the central air off. Vice versa during the day. Would this be cheaper than to run the ac for the entire condo all night? I've never had a portable ac unit so I appreciate any input.
