I put laminate flooring down myself years ago. Not even sure if I put underlay stuff down will need to rip it up to check. But it definitely was not a professional job (to say the least). This room is the coldest in the house by far and the only one that gets condensation on the windows. I have replaced wallpaper x 2 because it got so mouldy (behind the cupboards especially) that it was literally peeling itself off.I removed the wallpaper and just painted the walls because I knew the same thing would just happen again. Yesterday I removed cardboard boxes from under the bed that were very damp. I run a dehumidifier at least once a week and that seems to collect significant water. Can all this be due to the bad flooring job? Or could it be something more serious like a bad wall? The exterior walls do feel cold and moist though no obvious signs of damage. What do you think? Is there anything I can check myself? I see you can buy moisture/damp detector, not sure what good they will do though.Any advice? via /r/DIY https://ift.tt/2UgEUCn
